- Attention: To continue using the Engage app with your Zoom account, you will need to unistall and install our app again to refresh its permissions on your account, because of the new following permission has been added to the app:
user:read:admin
Our app uses this scope to generate the access token through the zoom API and read your ID from Zoom.
Before using Zoom inside Engage, it is necessary to pay attention to the following points:
Prerequisites:
- You need to have a paid account on Zoom to use this service. Free accounts do not support the use of this feature.
- The Engage app in the app, needs to have read and write permissions on the APIs for creating meetings on Zoom - scopes meeting: read: admin, meeting: write: admin and user:read:admin
- You must be an Engage subscriber.
- Finally, you need to authorize the Engage app to use your Zoom account, as described in the following chapter.
Authorizing Engage app to use your Zoom account
- Access Engage with your administrator user
- In the upper right menu, select the option "Enable new administrative area" and then click on Manage , in the displayed bar;
- Select the Other configs option
- The Other Settings screen will appear. Select the Integrations option and then Zoom.
5. Click the create zoom integration" button. Enter your Zoom email - the same you use to access your account, as shown in the image below:
6. Click the authorize app button
7. You will be taken to the Zoom login screen.
8. After that, you must click Authorize do proceed.
9. If everything goes right, you will see this message:
